Assignment 13
Jennifer Tamez
3/15/04
1. what do you consider the main message of the paper?
Code reuse is a good idea, but development can be difficult.
2. how is this work applicable to your own
2.1. work
It isn't really, but I guess the only thing I could say is that a class I am taking reuses code in flash.
2.2. interests?
I guess not referring to software, but projects and papers that I save incase I need to refer to them in the future.
3. do you have ideas how the work in the paper could or should be further developed?
No
4. have you used any reuse libraries
4.1. if not: why not?
I don't think I really need to.
4.2. if yes: which ones? did the libraries have any particular strengths and
weaknesses?
5. How does Codebroker infer the "task-at-hand"?
it takes comments that are provided by the developer and then forms components to the task at hand.
6. what are the trade-offs between
6.1. to let the systems infer the task-at-hand
it's easier and saves the trouble if the system is right, if it's not, then it's a waste of time.
6.2. versus that the users specifies the task at hand?
gives the user more control of what they want and don't want.
