Most people mention learning on demand when in situations that necessitate it – driving a stick shift, learning to ski when stuck at the top of the mountain, preparing taxes, learning to speak a second language when in that country, and learning to rent an apartment when arriving in the US, finding jobs. 3. what do people have to know to be able to learn on demand? What they want to learn, where to get the information, and how to assimilate the information and lessons from mistakes made. The most often mentioned item of this list is where to get the information needed. 4. why should one "learn on demand" instead of relying on "use on demand"? Most people felt that learning on demand is better than use on demand. Learning on demand is more natural and more efficient, because the user retains the information 5.1. which computer systems have you encountered which have a User Modeling Component? There is general consensus that the Windows platform has a User Modeling Component. There is also a mention of some IDEs for programming. 5.2. which computer systems have you encountered which supported learning on demand? Again, Windows is a popular answer.
