We are working on several mechanisms to keep our community informed of updates to the wiki.
- "recent items" on home page, right column
- this is an abbreviated version of what you would get if you clicked on the "changes" menu item above, but it is always presented when you visit the home page
- RSS feeds (see RSS icons on home page, right column)
- a "page-level" feed where any changes to the immediate children of the home page are processed
- a "site-level" feed that looks at any changes to the wiki
- a blog of wiki information and events (MakaBlog)
- there is also a blog RSS feed
- e-mail notification
- if you can edit a page, you can choose to receive e-mail alerts when that page (or its children) change (see left panel on edit page)
- e-mail lists
- we maintain an e-mail list for individuals who have subscribed to the wiki or are otherwise associated with the CreativeIT community. we will only use this for major announcements.
- if you want to be informed each tima a blog entry is created/edited, you can subscribe to the creativeit-blog@l3d.cs.colorado.edu mailing list (send e-mail to creativeit-blog-subscribe@l3d.cs.colorado.edu to join this list. there is also a "digest" option to summarize these changes on a (roughly) daily basis)
- if you want to be informed each time a page is edited then saved, you can subscribe to the creativeit-verbose@l3d.cs.colorado.edu mailing list (send e-mail to creativeit-verbose-subscribe@l3d.cs.colorado.edu to join this list. there is also a "digest" option to summarize these changes on a (roughly) daily basis)
